HTML Forms HIDDEN FIELD

Hidden fields are similar to text fields, with one very important difference!

The difference is that the hidden field does not show on the page. Therefore the visitor can't type anything into a hidden field, which leads to the purpose of the field:

To submit information that is not entered by the visitor.

The name setting adds an internal name to the field so the program that handles the form can identify the fields.

The value setting defines what will be sent once the form is submitted.

To share Printers attached to XP computers with either X-64 or X-32 versions of Windows 7

To share Printers attached to XP computers with either X-64 or X-32 versions of Windows 7 is SIMPLE. These instructions are for the Printer attached to the XP machine (but works in reverse as well).

("Stand alone" Network printers can be done slightly similarly BTW).

assume the computers are call XPMACHINE and W7MACHINE.

1) Ensure Printer on XP machine is shared - assume it's called SHAREDPRINTER.

2) On the Network Browsing on your Windows 7 machine ensure you can "See" the Printer share.

Now on the Windows 7 machine do the following (doesn't matter if it's X-86 or x-64).

3) Control Panel==> add LOCAL (Yes LOCAL) printer. I know it's on a Network but hold your horses -- what we are actually doing is "Poodlefaking" the Windows 7 machine into thinking it's running the printer.

4) Create NEW port==>Local port

5) Portname is \\XPMACHINE\SHAREDPRINTER

6) Now Windows 7 will load a driver and you'll be able to print on the XP machine.

Simple

(For a "Network stand alone printer") at 4) chose TCPIP port
and at 5) enter the IP address.

If the printer is on the Windows 7 machine and you want to print on the XP machine then do the same instructions on the XP machine --
port name in this case will be \\W7MACHINE\SHAREDPRINTER

Make a bootable USB installer for Windows XP, Vista, 7 the easy way!

Making a bootable USB flash drive for Windows XP, Vista and Windows 7 is very easy using
this TOol, this software simplifies everything and i mean everything you need to make a
bootable USB drive installer!. Not only does WinToFlash make the process about as easy as it
can get, but it can also create Windows XP, Server 2003, and Server 2008 installers.
The default options make it easy to roll a silent Windows install, or you can flip the
custom switch and specify the exact setup parameters you want to use.
The handy app also has one more trick up its sleeve: moving Windows Preinstall environments.
PE discs can be extremely handy for troubleshooting and repairs, and being able to
painlessly zap them over to a USB flash drive means not having to burn a new copy every time
someone's haggard old optical drive decides to chew up your CD.

WinToFlash is a free download and is totally portable. It's an excellent tool to add to your
USB-related utilities.

Tiny Proxy Server - share internet connection

Do you have several machines on a network, but only one connection to the internet?
This Tiny Proxy Server can let you share your internet connection.
this is called a Proxy Server, AnalogX Proxy is a small and simple server that allows any other machine on your local network to route its requests through a central machine. So what does that mean in English? Simple, run Proxy on the machine with the internet connection, configure the other machines to use a proxy (it's very easy, there's a detailed description in the readme), and voila! You're surfing the web from any other machine on your network! Supports HTTP (web), HTTPS (secure web), POP3 (receive mail), SMTP (send mail), NNTP (newsgroups), FTP (file transfer), and Socks4/4a and partial Socks5 (no UDP) protocols! It works great with Internet Explorer, Netscape, AOL, AOL Instant Messenger, Microsoft Messenger, and many more!

Can todays threat be prevented?

today the biggest threat faced by computer users is crimeware. now what is a crimeware? A crimeware is a malicious software that is written by cybercriminals like me before, i used to write crimewares. but not to steal money. just to steal passwords from my girlfriend, i mean girlfriends coz there are many of them.
this allows me to see their Social sites accounts like friendster, myspace and facebook. just to see whether they are loyal or not. coz this is important to me. and thank god i have caught a bunch of them cheating.. anyway lets get back to crimeware, a crimeware is written by cyber criminals with the sole purpose of making money illegally.

Crimeware may take the forms of scripts, viruses, worms, Trojans or other malicious computer programs. this threats cannot be prevented! and thats the answer!. but yesterdays threats can be. and why? because virus scanner and other virus protection software are based on definition files.

do you wonder why virus scanners are always updating thier software thru online updates? this updates the definition files of your virus protection software to the latest and detected list of virus/threats.

now a virus definition file is a list of known virus, known meaning virus that the maker of the virus scanner software knows about. its like a list of criminals in the police station, criminal records of know person that is a criminal. so that when the police see's them they can be identified. now if there is a new criminal that is
not on the list. then there is no way crime can be prevented!. thats why to make this clear. todays threat cannot be prevented at all. with exception to elite computer users ofcourse. becase and elite computer user can and will identify computer threats on the spot. :) and for some reason 80% of the infection/cybercrime happens because of human stupidity..
