How to install EMS server (MySQL Server for windows)

This guide will show you how to install the EMS server (MySQL server)

//We will make this guide Fast and Simple, so any average #computer literate individual can do this installation.👽👽

In order to run the EMS INVENTORY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM, You need to Install a running MySQL and PHP server, this guide will show you how. alright then! lets start by DOWNLOADING the needed files to run the EMS Database server.

Download all 3 files.

After downloading, Install appserv-win32-8.6.0.exe
//Notice that the appserv is 32bit version? If you want the latest and 64bit version then you can always go to the official appserv website https://www.appserv.org/en/ and download the latest version of appserv. however we do not guarantee that it will work with our EMS INVENTORY MANAGEMENT SOFTWARE, You can always roll back to the version that is tested and working.

How do you plan to Run EMS INVENTORY MANAGEMENT SOFTWARE?

//Use EMS on a Single Computer

//Use EMS on Multiple Computers on the same Local Area Network                                                                                          

*Ubuntu Linux Server // if you want to use Linux as your server *FOR Advance Administrator only

// Install Appserv-win32-8.6.0 , on the installation process, you will be asked for root password, set and remember the root password as we need it in order to proceed to the Database restoration. we will need it for the ODBC connection setup.

// Install Mysql-gui-tools-5.0-r17. We will need this to access the server and restore the SQL Database

// Install Mysql-connector-odbc-3.51 , Also needed for the main EMS Software for database connectivity.

Now assuming all three (3) installations are done. to complete the server. it is now time to restore the database. download the SQL database and extract it. remember the path as you may need it later.

Setup Database (MySQL Server)

Download EMS Database // Restore this database to your EMS server using MySQL GUI Tools

☝NOTE: EMS needs Microsoft Excel for exporting reports. Make sure you have it Installed on the computer you want to run EMS. as there are some reports that will be exported directly to XLS.

We open the ledger nano s revision 7 device and make sure the PCB is not tampered or modified by hackers. lets check the hardware integrity.



Just get a knife or a flat screw. make sure it is thin so you can pop up the back of the ledger.once open. compare the PCB from the official ledger nano website.  https://support.ledger.com/hc/en-us/articles/115005321449-Check-hardware-integrity

In this ledger, the PCB is revision 7. make sure there are no additional chips soldered on your ledger. if everything is good. update your ledger nano s firmware to the newest version. you can do this with the help of Ledger Live software. make sure you download the software from the official ledger website.

Things you need to do before you sell your hard drive or laptop computer

In this video, we are going to show you how to securely wipe you hard drives to ensure your personal information is securely deleted. alright! we will start by talking about what software is needed. there are many software available for this type of job. some are free and some are not, but lets talk about the FREE ones. for example Active Kill Disk the hard drive eraser. this software utility adheres to the united states department of defense standards for removing data. and its also free. another one is the software called Eraser from heidi computers, another free utility based on different standards. you can even define your own method for over writing data that allows you to securely erase specific files and folders. but then why would we need another utility to securely wipe hard drives and solid state driver when we can have it included by a freeware called c cleaner which is free for home use. I have this 500 gigabytes hard drive and a hard drive enclosure. we will try to do a secure wipe on this drive using C cleaner. first I'm gonna put the drive inside the enclosure and plug it to my computer. oh by the way, this mac run on windows.
