Wife threatens divorce after her husband is considered for MARS ONE trip into MARS
Father of four Ken Sullivan, who lives in Utah, applied to live on Mars without asking his wife
He is among 1,058 people who have been selected to go through to the next round of the Mars One project, which is set to colonise the Red Planet
His children say they will miss their father if he embarks on an extraterrestrial life and Mr Sullivan admits he'll be 'relieved' if not chosen
A father of four, who applied for a one-way-ticket to live on Mars, could be looking at a divorce as a result of his extraterrestrial ambition.
Ken Sullivan made it the next stage of the Mars One project, which could potentially see him making a new life on Mars – but his wife and children are not happy about the news.
Mr Sullivan, who lives in Utah, is among the 1,058 applicants selected so far who could colonise the red planet and never return to their families and friends on Earth.
While the 38-year-old might be excited about his potential ticket to an extraterrestrial life, his wife of five-and-a-half years, Becky, is contemplating getting a divorce.
‘The question is do we get divorced now or get divorced later. If I stand in the way of his dreams and passions, then we get divorced now, so I have to be supportive
If he did make the final cut to live on Mars, Mr Sullivan would also have to leave behind his four children, who range in age from just six months to 13-years-old.
His 12-year-old daughter Kaitlyn is upset at the idea she might never see her father in person again and said that she would miss him, yet her older sister Jocelyn told the newspaper: ‘If he wants to go to Mars, he should go to Mars.’
There is only a slim chance of Mr Sullivan being selected to live on Mars, as just 24 people will be chosen, but his wife is sad that he did not ask her opinion before completing the application form and said that she could not contemplate leaving her children.

MARS ONE Human Settlement on MARS
Human Settlement on Mars - Mars One will establish a permanent human settlement on Mars. Crews of four will depart every two years, starting in 2024. Our first unmanned mission will be launched in 2018. Join the Global Mars One Community and participate in our mission to Mars.

The Mars One project needs to raise $400,000 (£245,000) by 25 January to fund its plans.
Once enough funding has been raised, the Dutch firm plans to launch a supply mission to land on Mars as soon as October 2016.
A ‘settlement rover’ will then land in 2018.
The landing systems will be tested eight times before they are used to transport humans - a move that Mars One said will make the trips ‘much safer than moon missions’.
The group said it aims to have a human settlement on Mars within a decade.
Journey time to Mars, which is approximately 40 million miles away depending on its position in orbit, would be around 200 days.
The £4bn project, founded in 2010 by engineer Bas Lansdorp, is set to recoup its costs by selling the broadcasting rights to the mission - by comparison, Nasa's rover Curiosity cost £1.8 billion.

RAPPER FAT JOE 4 Months In Prison For Bilking Uncle Sam
So much for a carefree summer ... Fat Joe has just been ordered to spend 4 months behind bars for failing to pay more than $1 MILLION in income taxes.
As TMZ previously reported, Joe (real name Joseph Cartagena) pled guilty back in December to stiffing Uncle Sam on a boatload of taxes for the years 2007 and 2008.
He originally faced up to two years in the slammer for the crime -- but today, the rapper was sentenced to just 4 months in prison, a $15,000 fine, and one-year supervised release. He's scheduled to report to prison by August 26.

Humba Bisaya (Original Pinoy Recipe)
Humba recipe
Ingredients:
2 kilos of pork belly,1/2 to 1 cup soy sauce, crushed peppercorns, 3 heads of garlic diced, brown sugar about 1 1/2 cups to 2 cups depending on your taste, laurel leaves, salted black beans (washed and drained) about a cup or 2 cans, 2 tbsps. tomato paste, 1 cup oil ( vegetable or corn but not olive please!), salt, black pepper and about a liter and a half of hot water on stand by.
Procedure:
Cut the pork belly to medium or big cubes, wash and drain. put about 1 to 2 tbsps. of salt and mix it well with the pork.Set aside for about 15 mins.
In a wok with cover, put the pork with a cup of water and cover. Bring to a boil and then simmer in medium heat, stirring once in a while. When the water dissipates and the natural oil of the pork starts to come out, you can add another cup of oil into the pan and then cover the pan and let the pork brown in the oil. Be careful as the pork can really get nasty at this point and would start to splatter! I suggest you use a bigger cover and use it like a shield while you are stirring the pork pieces to brown it evenly. Once done, take it out from the pan and set aside.
Using the same wok or pan, bring it up to heat again and then throw in your garlic and saute it. Then turn down the heat to minimum and then put in your brown sugar and mix it with the oil until it melts and caramelizes then put in your soy sauce and keep stirring until well incorporated and caramelized sugar starts to break up. You can put a cup of hot water at this point and bring it up to a slow boil. Add the laurel leaves, peppercorn and 2 tbsps. of tomato paste and keep stirring. Then add the browned pork and let it boil for about 5 mins, making sure that nothing sticks to the pan and gets burned. Then add about a liter of water and cover the pan and let simmer for about an hour or until desired doneness ( 2 hours max) in low fire stirring once in awhile. Correct and adjust saltiness and sweetness towards the end of the cooking time and after you have thrown in the salted beans. The ideal Humba Bisaya is the one swimming in oil with just a bit of a sauce and not soupy at all. I suggest a deep non-stick pan with cover will be perfect for this…although the traditional humba in the barrio is cooked in “kawa” and usually just covered with banana leaves! Enjoy and good luck guys! let me know how this turns out! Check out my finished product in the attached picture!
