The colorado river toad or BUFO ALVARIUS is also known as the Sonoran Desert toad, found in northern Mexico and the southwestern United States. also known as "the toad of the dawn" or "the DMT Toad" produces hallucinogenic toxin, as an exudate of glands within the skin, contains 5-MeO-DMT and bufotenin.
The psychoactive effects of the secretions of different varieties of toads have been known for centuries and is used for rituals by shamans (Otac is the Seri word for toad)
