Execution of Positive Affirmation

Positive affirmation is a mind-set playing a very important role as a tool for change. Such change though must be for the betterment of the individual. It could be a positive transformation of one's capabilities, personality, outlook in life, or disposition.

However, positive affirmations being mental by nature must be executed to form in order to be feasibly attainable. One way of execution is through writing down positive affirmations everyday in a piece of paper which makes one's positive affirmation visible to the eye thereby serving as a guide on how one should deal with life on that particular day. Another way of execution is by adding a response to the written positive affirmations. Focus on the negative reactions of the mind on the particular positive affirmation statement and at the end of the day find a way on dealing with such negativity in a positive way. Execution of positive affirmation could also be in a form of Self-talk but in substance form such as writing down positive affirmations towards one'self. This method is similar to self-praising. Through this method, one instills to himself what one wants to accomplish at the end of the day thus serving as a reinforcer adding more probability of accomplishing one's aim. A couple or two persons may also help each other with the execution of positive affirmations. In this method, it is very important that there exists a trust and confidence between the two persons for them to freely perform this. It will be done through sharing of each others written positive affirmations and the other states a positive affirmation on it. To make things clearer, when one writes as his positive affirmation that he will be efficient in his work at the office, the other writes on it that he will be efficient at work. This is execution with the help of another person. All of these ways of executing one's positive affirmation are useful and effective but one only needs to select a particular approach suitable for him or if one finds a combination of different executions to be effective, one may do so.

Since this talks on executing one's positive affirmation, it is vital that one knows the basics in writing down affirmations. Affirmations must be stated in a positive way and not the contrary, after all what we are talking here are positive affirmations. It has to be specific enough so as not to be confusing. Lastly, affirmations can be more effective if addressed to one's self and structured in the present tense.
