The corona virus covid19 or nCovid19 outbreak have everyone go panic buying, from toilet papers to can goods and even gun Ammo at the gunstore are sold out in a mater of days not to mention the big demand of face mask.until now when you go to a pharmacy or supply stores, facemask is out of stock. so, now you want to D.I.Y mask to protect yourself from this pandemic.
well before doing so. you have to ask yourself few question. Does it work? Does it really protects me from virus?
well when making your own DIY mask using cotton t-shirt cloths, the DIY mask can only filter 0.65 micron at 78% while compared to a surgical mask can filter about 86% particle at 0.65 microns.
how ever the corona virus is 0.1 microns, smaller the other kind of viruses, this will render your DIY mask useless. so the only mask can filter 0.1 microns are the N95 mask. so whatever means. secure an N95 mask rather than using a DIY facemask.
